Yenko Camaro

This picture was on Facebook with no history. Is this a known car?

I can't help with the black Camaro, but I would bet a little bit of money that was taken a Cedar Falls Raceway, then known as N.E.I.T.A. Raceway (North East Iowa Timing Association). The starting line, the staging lanes, the fencing, the white MOPAR wagon emergency vehicle, are oh so familiar to me. The Camaro in the other lane, I'm sure was partner owned by a life long friend, that car's name escapes me right now??
Must have been T&T night judging by what's in the staging lanes. - Bill W |
I'm guessing it is green.

I saw that on Facebook. Is that a Harrell badge on the fender??
|
Underneath the Camaro script is a Yenko badge

I wondered because it made more sense that an Iowa car could be Harrell tuned or built. So does anyone have any more history on this car?

Just found a post on Facebook about him. He bought the car in 69 and sold it in 71 to go circle track racing. Yenko car, there is a picture of it before it got lettered.

Bob T. Had this car in WI. He sold it to Vince E. Vince sold it to a buyer in Canada. It was sold new in Cedar Falls.
