Hi DSYenko,

What's the minimum you'll accept for your 837?

Regards,
Al

Remember the good ol' days when people knew what they wanted for a part and put a price on it? Ebay sure has created a great deal of indecision...or is it greed?

Webester says Greed= excessive desire for wealth
Wealth=much money or property;riches
I think that is a fair decription of most of us as well as myself.While I do wish to become wealthy I do not wish to or expect to achieve it by selling this one item.All I expect is whats it's worth and I do not know so I am accepting offers.I already have one offer anyone else care to own it?
P.S. Greed was around long before Ebay and while Ebay has made some wealthy or put others just that much closer it also may have broke a few or close to it! Just my .02 worth

DS: Fair enough. My comment about ebay is really more of a general observation than one directed at you. For those of us who were buying parts like this before ebay ever existed (I'm not suggesting that you weren't), the transactions usually started with an asking price from the seller and then an offer from the buyer. Today, fewer people are "asking"; instead, they are "accepting offers or it goes on ebay". Coincidentally, there is an ad on Team Camaro right now for an 837 alt. This fellow put a price of $600 on it and then follows with "last chance before I put it on ebay". Sort of sounds like a threat??? I guess I just prefer the old way of doing things. Good luck with the sale of your alt

Having the opportunity to buy an item prior to it being on ebay is a good thing,no?? Saying an item will be put on ebay if not sold is a sales pitch at worst,and a heads up at best.

Thanks,

I agree Yountto, I'd rather have a chance to buy an item before it hits ebay...I just prefer some one to tell me how much they want for an item (like you have been doing recently) rather than making offers. I guess it's just a personal preference in how I like to do business - I always price my parts/cars. It's like an old timer said to my buddy once..."I have enough trouble pricing my own parts...I don't price other peoples" To each his own I guess
