Yenko sponsor drag Corvette
I lifted this picture from the HAMB board, but I do remember this car from my younger days at Keystone Raceway. Chuck Wright and Joe Dvorchak had the car. Joe worked for Yenko and built many of the Yenko Turbo Z's. I think its a cool picture taken at Keystone...BKH

Re: Yenko sponsor drag Corvette
68l30,
Actually, this Chuck Wright did not own the Tiretown Rat. The Chuck Wright you are thinking of was from Ohio. The Chuck Wright who owned the corvette in the photo was from Pittsburg. The Chuck Wright in the photo eventually went on to purchase the Ed Hedrick 69 Yenko Camaro. He passed away several years ago. Actually, the Ed Hedrick Yenko was later named Dvorchack and Wright as well. I think I have pics of the car lettered us as Dvorchak and Wright. I will see if I can find them to post. |

Re: Yenko sponsor drag Corvette
I'm likin those bell bottoms. And Mike I just stoked up the wood burner. Should be about 80 in a little while.
Cool Vette. There was always a part of the Corvette group that believed that they should be street, and drag raced. Most of the time, they were pretty heavy hitters. |
