Ryan,

That is a very nice original hump....keeping the integrity true to the car, well done!
I notice that and admire that

Ive used the repop, its not poo poo. BTW its not a hump, its a plate. Oldsmobiles from 64-69 didnt have "humps".

I am still figuring out shipping........ Trying to be cost effective:-(

The Chevelle piece is probably cheaper than that mass of rusty metal and cheaper to ship.

Mr. Harris,

Hump, Lump, Dump, Sump.....Ryan can call it whatever he wants to call it....if you cannot be nice and be positive of someone`s build....go some where else with your negative comments.

I am trying to take my car back as close to Lansing Michigan March 12th 1969 as I can afford with my skills and with the immeasurable support I am getting from guys like Dan:-)

Items that can't be replaced with bolts later are more critical on my list, the shifter area is a different situation. I don't want to fix it perfect now as I want to try various shifters and someday make it perfectly original.

I am very interested to copy the "hump" and potentially help another Olds Resto in the process:-)

Ryan

Ryan,

You just keep "Humping" along

WHATS NEGATIVE???? WTF. I gave him ADVICE on a cheaper alternative. Which apparently was a big thing to him a few posts earlier. That piece of metal is a huge waste of time. Its rusty beyond belief. Is his plan to copy it? Well, someone already did and it works fine. How is telling the guy that negative????

It seems only YOU can give the guy advice. Again in a post below he says he is trying to put the car back to the day it was built. BUT wants to use an inline shifter and NOT fix the shifter hole perfectly the first time. Doesnt that go against his plan to make the car day one new????

This site is all about back slapping and atta boys. God forbid anyone tell the guy anything that might help or save him money.

Jasen Ramsey......Again, you come across very negative....if you do not like this website and feel that we give too much back slapping and atta boys....feel free to exit and leave.

Hang on Dude also everyone as these stupid computers have a way of slanting typed words and thoughts from both ends at once.
I was wondering why Ryan wants to ship this chunk of steel across the country myself so understood what Dude was posting and didn't think of it as so harsh when I read it?
I for one appreciate Dude's usual input here also he's a Olds brother too so sorry, but I'm not Ok to see him step off the bus without saying something...especially over this!
Although not part of any back slappin' crowd, what I love best about this site is the collective knowledge that's openly shared here...so please shift this rig into reverse Ryan and let's all try to get this thread back on the rails!
