Wolfeman - welcome to the site. There is little doubt that you have one honey of a car. We'd sure like you to hang out here and share some of your stories with this terrific RA IV car. We have lots of folks on this site who own and/or appreciate hi po Pontiacs. Is that you in the B&W photo above?

I feel the need to respond to your post and first off let me apologize if I have offended you but I can Guarentee you that as an owner of a bodyshop and having restored alot of GTO's That I feel I am Qualified to make a reasonable doubt about the paint on your Dads car. It does not make sense to me that 66 Barrier Blue does not stick to your rubber nose. I have had lots of 69 special paint cars and have never heard this argument in 30+ years of restoring these cars. As a painter this argument does not hold water. Now if you said that your father really wanted the car painted this way and made the right calls to get it done then I would say NEVER SAY NEVER. But you were just a child and Im sure you would not remember being in the showroom with the salesman hearing this statement. Dont you think its possible that your dad just thought it would look cool if the bumper was white??? It was 1969?? I looked that car over real good and let me say first that it is a beautiful car and your father took amazing care of it and I know you are very proud of it but in my opinion and its just my opinion that the bumper was originally Barrier Blue and it was painted white when new. He might have even told the saleman to paint it white before it came home To give it his personal touch. Again Im sorry if I have offended you but I had to be honest with my post. Take care of your great car.

I would love to see that car at the upcoming MCACN. It would be a huge hit and in great company. www.mcacn.com

I'm glad to see Wilson (right?) and hopefully Spencer found their way over here. Please correct me if I got the names wrong and feel free to fill out your profile more.

How is the Verti-gate shifter working out on the street?

Thank you for clarifying your comments. I and my late father appreciate it. All I can tell you is that from back as long as I can remember that is what I was told, he was told by the dealership.

2013 SLS on the horizon? I'd be interested in bringing my Camaro since BWAG dropped some news on me early Dec on "his" car. Pictures he found documents it as L89 with T400 when he ordered it. Tell me it's going to happen!
