R79 reproduction case possibility
Guys, is there a demand for an R79 reproduction case? It would be based on the case in the link below with the proper E 5000 R79 and red caps. Both connections would be 3/8-16. The price 300 + shipping. Thank you for the input.

I would say "yes". I have two 70 Z28s and both would have been supplied with R79s. At this time, I believe only R89 cases are available and stickered as R79s. 1970 Camaros have been steadily growing in popularity over the past several years, but, like anything else it's difficult to gauge the actual market demand. I am by no means a Delco battery expert, so I invite anyone to chime in with corrections, but I believe two different R79s were offered in 1970: Standard R79 was a smooth top and big block applications received the R79W which I think had the "gator-skin" textured top. Hopefully others can chime in on this.
