Man... that's some history right there! Thanks for sharing Eric! I hope I never encounter 1/16th of the engine problems you did on that one car in my entire life!!

Cheers
Dave

The 572 after swapping the Team G for an Edelbrock Super Victor and plumbing in a fogger system--which I never got to use.

A trunk pic after it was tubbed. (didn't have room to squeeze the pic in the last post)

Next: 1994, right after my best friend finished the body work & paint. This was the first time it rolled out of his garage after paint. (This was obviously before I tubbed the car) The car still had the 11 second 454 in it at that point. Oh, ignore the dinky tailpipes, they were a short lived experiment to try to quiet the car down. They did, and that also neutered it, so they came right back off.

The blue Chevy pickup in the background was my beloved Ol' Blue `78 1/2 ton--this is the one I had my 400 small block (current carb live test engine) in for a LONG time before it got rear-ended and tweaked the frame. Broke my heart to send that one off to the boneyard, I had damn near as much fun in that truck as I did in most of my cars.

Ha! Nice to hear mention again of the famous Crane #131311 solid, flat tappet camshaft. I was a fan of it also and it was always in stock at the local speed shop. It was a formidable weapon when stabbed into a properly prepared BBC!
