Looking for a vintage red metal flake steering wheel like this one, for my Dodge Charger. Just trying to annoy more of those restoration-only people at carshows. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif The new repro ones just don't look old-school enough.

This one actually sold here last year but I didn't see the ad til it was already gone. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Anyone have a nice one out there?

Thanks, Steve

I wish I could help because I have a load of wheels from Moon Eyes that look just the same.

The new Mooneye/Grant wheels just dont have the heavy 1960's glitter effect that I so crave for my time machine. They seem to use a much finer metal powder than the old "bass-boat" heavy metalflake, candy apple look of the originals.

Gotcha Steve! I did not know that there was that much of a difference. WOW! That is nice.

They also made 3 hole versions. I can't remember what brand this one is but I remember buying it at PEP Boys in '68.

May be worth checking in w/ the VW/Dune Buggy crowd also old boat groups and any older marinas around as they were popular on speedboats of the era too...Superior brand maybe?.

The one Steve pictured is the one I sold to GTO Don. Sorry Steve..... Maybe if you beg Don hard enough he might flip it to you for a reasonable profit? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Yup, saw that ebay one this morning. Thanks Pete!

And I also sent a PM to Don. We'll see what happens either way.

Thanks for looking out for me! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Well, I won the auction as the only bidder at $84.95. (Thanks guys for not bidding against me). Can't wait to see what it looks like in person. I also bought the Grant adapter kit and horn button for about $20 total from Summit Racing. Now the waiting for the UPS man starts....

So Steve, you think this will decrease the haunted factor on your Charger or increase it? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Glad to hear you got the wheel Steve. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif I don't know how far you want to tempt fate, but I think I still have those goofy Cal Custom pedal covers if you want them.
