The only Allentown dealers I can think of are Jack Dankel, and Ed Newman. Do you have a year range?

Ok then it has to be the former Ed Newman Chevrolet, which was located at 1211 Hanover Ave. I have a document from a 1966 from there, so they must have changed owners sometime between 66 and 69. Sorry I don't have any info about Boody for you..

I'm also in the area, and it's off 22, south on Airport Rd a few miles. You make a left on Hanover Ave. and the dealership is/was on the LH side. As of a few years ago there was still a Chevy dealer there, but not sure if it's the same building or not. They were gone before I came to the area 20 years ago.

There is still a Chevy dealer located at 1211 Hanover Ave in Allentown. It is now called Sands Chevy. It was something else just a few years ago, but I can't remember the name. Not sure how long ago the Booty name changed.

I'll have to figure out how to get over there, I assume its close enough for a lunch time parts run? I like knowing where the closest Chev. dealer is - looks like Sands is it since the one in Fogelsville lost the franchise???

I happen tp be travelling past the dealership yesterday and decided to stop in. Spoke with the parts dept manager and here is a little history on the dealership. Built in 1949 as Town Motors, then Allen Motors, Ed Newman, Booty til 1978, Bennett Chevy and now Sands Chevy since Sept. 2007. They have a drawing of the dealership from 1958 that showed about 12 cars on the lot and the service manager stated that that would have been a full lot. That's about the same number of new cars they have now too. Dealership looks much different back then with a cat walk and many more garage doors on the buildings. Very cool looking back in the day.
Marlin,
There is a Chevy dealership in Allentown that is much closer and a little larger I just can't think of the name right now.
The Daniels dealerships are all closed now. The Pontiac and Olds building was very cool looking, but they demo'd the showroom and completely changed the building so it could now be an Auto Zone. Sad to see all the old dealerships change over the years.

I think your thinking of what is now Outten Chevrolet. It’s on Tilghman around 17th street. Decently large building / lot.
Also on Tilghman there is a Daniel's showroom. Maybe at one point it was a dealer but now not used at a dealer. The last time I past it (which was last week) there was a 78 Pace Car Corvette, 56 or 57 Corvette and a Olds 442 in the showroom. Not sure what the deal with that is. And actually, I think there is an Auto Zone around the corner from this “Daniel’s” building.

I was thinking of Outten Chevy. Thanks for jogging my memory.
The Daniel's building you are referring to is now their body shop, I believe. It used to be BMW and Cadillac? I figured the cars in the showroom were maybe owners cars being stored there.
