Those are cool, Rick!
Here are a few more, all more recent =
Chevrolet - An American Revolution (2000's)
See the USA in your Chevrolet (Dina Shore, 50's and early 60's?)
The Heartbeat of America - Today's Chevrolet (80's? 90's?)
Like a Rock (trucks, 90's)
We'll be there (2000's)
Sorry Belair62.
Add under 1970:
"See America's First"
This was not a commonly used National slogan, but one they did use on the USA-1 License Plates.

What can you say?? Rick Strikes again!! Bravo... Hey wait a minute, you told me that the '70 slogan was "putting you first in a big way" now you list it for '71??. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
What gives? Either way I have the right plate-so I am happy! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

I never said that was a 1970 slogan Phil.
I am seeing others though say it is on Ebay all day long, and to me a 1969 or 70 Chevrolet Vehicle with the "Putting you first In A Big Way" License plate,is like a 1969 Yenko with a McMurray address reference.

Really neat, Rick. I saved these to a Word file. Interestingly Word did not recognize Chevette.... I don't know of anyone else who would "recognize" it either.

"See America's First" was used on USA-1 plates long before 1970. (Although it was used into 1970 as well.) I believe it could have been used as early as 1966 or 67 on USA-1 Plates, and several variations of the plates were made over the 4 or 5 years they used this slogan. It's also important to note that just because these slogans changed from year to year doesn't mean dealerships quit using them to sell cars. The local Chevy dealer downtown still proudly lights up their "Heartbeat of America" neon sign every morning, and even uses it in some of their print ads. Imn fact, many of the original GM issued USA-1 Plates were actually MADE long after the "official" year of the slogan, and its also likely some plates came out a bit earlier than the launch of the slogans as well.

I guess I misunderstood your reply when I asked you about it last year at vettefest.... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Anyway here is another slogan used in 69, this is a real poster sized paper service department ad. It is dated cc 69-1-12

Andy,
I just bought a Canadian Built SS427 on Friday. I'm a hardtop man, and seems like all you ever see (not like there's a ton of them out there) is Marina Blue! I love the Granada Gold! Thanks ,Jeff (see my post "SS427x2 I did it")

That Poster is from the January 1969 Communication Kit,with accompanying 35mm filmstrip & record titled,"Go All Out".
(any Literature with "CC" means it was included with the Chevrolet Communication kits)
This is an example of how a Chevrolet Dealership received these plates.
This is a 1971 slogan NOS in the original shipping box.
They came 6 plates to a box, seperated with onion sheets.
That box item No. is referenced in the 1971 Chevrolet Merchandising Catalog, along with a picture of them.
I have cartons of these and all are the same 1971 slogan, all post marked within the 1971 model year in some cases.
1971 was the only year they used that particular item no. to reference this plate design.
The years before & after used a different item no.,design & box.

They may have came out on 71, but they were still being sent out to dealers as late as 1973. This is fact. I'm actually at WORK now, but I will post pics to verify this later this evening.

Here's an original box of 6 "Putting Your First in a Big Way" plates, addressed to Nessenger Chevrolet and postmarked April 5th 1973. From the Donaldson Art Sign Co. These plates were used for several years after their initial relase date, and can be found with various types and colors of sealer on the backside, depending on when and where they were manufactured. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

*Building a Better Way to Serve The USA (Trucks)
Anybody know what booster plate my 1974 Chevy Blazer would have likely had?

Probably this one.
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j293/joebarr/C9247681-65BB-487A-8E0D-77B6801DA3D8.png (http://s83.photobucket.com/user/joebarr/media/C9247681-65BB-487A-8E0D-77B6801DA3D8.png.html)
This would be the correct plate they would've offered you back in '74.
It's metal, not plastic & notice the correct shorter bolt holes as opposed to the elongated holes repro's have.
Although "Serve" was the truck selling slogan, they didn't make a "Building A Better Way,To Serve The USA" truck plate, just this overall general one.

Anyone ever see a Chevrolet Racing Division license plate frame?
I've seen the plates but wondered if they ever made a license plate frame with that on it.
Never seen an authentic companion frame of any kind with it,but I have a few old plates.
It wasn't really a sales campaign slogan, but rather a metal over the counter parts Dept. license plate,to endorse their Hi-perf parts sales.
Someone has reproduced this plate in the past, but glaring incorrect to the original.
Here's my original.

Joey or someone else, I see the years of these plate slogan's releases, the one on the upper right corner, the one that reads just "Building a Better Way" (without the "To See the U.S.A."), what year was that one from?
I was looking for some "filler stuff" to cover some spots in my sign room and found these in a box, I forgot I even had them AND the frames! I guess if you keep this crap for 10-15 years it grows in value and coolness! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/burnout.gif
