Hey, mabey GM will reopen the AC stamping plant here in Flint where they made them for years before shipping the work to Mexico! At 14.81 dealer cost, there should be plenty of room to make a decent profit.

Especially for the ebay shucksters who'll be selling them as originals for as long as they can get away w/ it!.

I wonder if they will do the PF30 and PF 24 for Olds and Pontiac Respectively. Although I do have 10 PF30 's on the shelf.

$300???
So far no one at my local Chevrolet dealer has a clue. I spent over 1/2 there and kept being told that GM has NOT re-released the oilfilter. In addition, he state that the AC oil filter IS and always HAS been blue and was never white. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Nor does the dealer here Rick and the parts guy is up on this stuff being a parts man for over 30 years and a still original owner of a 70 ls5 chevelle. He said he has not seen any paper work on it yet.275 -300 Rick is what I sold some on e-bay for non embossed 40-50.
Ok what is the real story on the blue ones. I have them here and I know they are 60's just from the writing on the box which gives the applications like 67 Impala V8 and no mention of any thing in the 69 years.I always thought they were the factory installed 65/68 ones at first but then was told no the white ones were.
What is the true story on them. I am not talking about the blue ones now that were out in the 80's these have the same logo as the old embossed white ones.

Are these the newer (read: cheaper and crappier) AC filters with the 8 smaller holes in the top?
