While on the subject, would the 2002 35th anniversary (red with stripes etc) be considered the most collectable , the most valuble "down the road"
Thanks

I would put a 2002 Brickyard 400 Festival car more desirable than a 35th Anniversary car. There were around 3300 of those made and only 57 Z7D Brickyard cars made. 5 were 6-speeds and 52 were automatics. 44 were used at the track and 43 distributed to dealers.

As was in '69, I would put my money behind one of the factory-dealer cars such as the Berger, Earnhardt, Tom Henry, GMMG developed cars. They all had a minimum of 380 hp and were factory warranted.
I do plan on buying one of the 35th anniversary cars but I do not consider myself an investor. I believe Charley had a 4th gen Berger car at one time.
If you are looking for these cars, the best sites are LS1tech.com and camaross.com.
An LS1 is my DD in the summer. Great cars!

there is a dealership in my hometown that still has a 2002 Z28 convertible on the lot. It had never been sold. It is silver with a black top and the ugly sport appearance package. I think they still want sticker for it.

I know of an 02 SS for sale with 8500 miles. A 55 year old lady in pa currently owns it. It was previously my car. I ordered the car from Lafferty Chevrolet on the last week in 02 when u could still order a camaro. I ordered it with every slp gm/slp option except for the optional rims and tires. This includes the auburn rear, and 1le suspension. The car is still in mint condition. Its white with black leather interior and its an m6. They only made around 241 white cars, and on top of that how many were ordered with the 1le suspension. Her son just contacted me advising me its for sale. she wanted to give me first shot at it, but I have an 02 ss 35th le, so I dont think im gonna be buying it off her. Shes looking to get 25k-26k for it, which may or may not be alittle high, but I think this will be a very collectible car in the future with all of the options. If your interested you can email me at
[email protected], and Ill hook you up with her. If you really want a 35th le, Ill let mine go for 28k firm and Ill go buy the white one back. The le is also an m6 with 6500 miles on it.

I know the guy that owns from the '02 Brickyard race that had Tony Stewarts name stenciled on it and took Tony around the track. Last I heard, he'd let it go 'for the right price'. I'm not sure of the mileage now, but dont belive it would be more than 2k-3k.
