Both of mine were outside too. Tach on the dash, small little ZGate shifter sitting on a 16/304 stainless steel box I made at work. Put the shifter high up, I do miss that car.

I used the straight 'screw-in' studs as apposed to pinning, that make the head still look factory on my 302 with the 140 cam and comp cams roller tips rockers. Works well.
