The tires are in amazingly great shape with very low miles on them and most of the wheels are in original paint and in very good condition. They were NOT cheap by anyone's estimate but I want this car to be the best it can be.

Hey Rick, Any chance this car had torque thrust rims on it when sold by yenko?

Based on evidence we found in the garage and discussions with several people that knew the car during its lifetime, no I do not believe it ever had Torque Thrusts on it.

I just checked a 325hp M20 Baltimore 69 SS build sheet and it shows BY as will in box 19. Looks like this shaft covered the gammit for Baltimore 69 BB 4speed Chevelles.

I am so happy you found this 1969 COPO Yenko Chevelle!!

I am confident that this whole process is 85% more fun just based on the car being a 1969 vs 1970 :-)

Some guys like 1970’s.... but for me...... you hit the jackpot of all jackpots!!!

Ryan W31

I'm a 70 Chevelle guy too,but you definitely hit the JACKPOT.

Still trying to confirm for sure, but believe BY is black yellow ?
Color codes were not consistent among Chevelle plants.
If anyone has a 69 BAL BS from ANY car like SBC, that lists a color in box 19, I would like to see if any used BU for blue ? Kind of guessing here.
Thanks for any input for BAL built cars.

Mike

Hope Rick doesn't mind me jacking his build thread but you all might like this.
Today Grady and I looked at his drive shaft on his 06D BAL COPO Chevelle and after he did a little cleaning Grady found this.
Looks like BY in box 19 is in fact Blue/Yellow...AWESOME
The first stripe is 22" from the center line of the U joint.
Keep up the great work Rick and Annie.
Mike

Thanks to yours and Grady's help earlier today as well as Phil's help I will be correcting the stripes on my driveshaft. Thanks guys!

Rick
I need to check with Grady what color was forward. I can't remember

SS427 12-20-2018 12:48 AM

Green on his was in front which was opposite on mine. Mine are identical but reversed.
