#65. This Camaro is an 09D M22 car that was sold new at Maxton Chevrolet in Columbus OH. It was listed as a numbers matching car with 4.56 gears when it went to action a few years ago.

Re: Supercar Photographs
Think I saw this one at Legendary Motor Car here in Milton.
By memory, survivor to some degree? Ryan |
Re: Supercar Photographs
It was at Legendary Motor Car, but I believe it is a total restoration. I think Doug Perry was the one who found it and restored it so maybe he can chime in on that.

Re: Supercar Photographs
The Black Copo Camaro was restored here in Columbus ...by Dave McGaffee of Bowtie Performance. It was judged as a Legends car at the Camaro Nationals and scored 4,960/5,000 pts. Being a Legends car puts it on a short list of cool cars. The car had its original Rearend only. The motor was a real MN block 1,200 vins away. We have one more car coming ...RS Lemans Blue Copo Camaro for Legends judging...but in the end I prefer my Rally Green Copo hot rod

Re: Supercar Photographs
I remembered "LEGEND" on the advetisement and assumed it was Vintage Certification/Survivor vintage Legend.
"We understand not every original car is 100% untouched, and we offer four levels of certification, based on the originality of the Vehicle. Vintage Legend Certifications levels are divided into four divisions: Vintage Legend - Cars that are 80%-90% unrestored in all reference areas." Wrong again. Ryan |

I think fondly about this car as Doug sold me (for a very reasonable price) the complete exhaust system that was on the car when he bought it. Vintage Hooker's, 3" pipes and Dynomax cans. It was a real comedy of errors. I had everything all planned out, and nothing went according to plan. By the time I got done, I could have bought a brand new system and had it installed for the same money. Live and learn. |
Re: Supercar Photographs
Andy I forgot how sexy that car looked. Straight as an arrow. They only look that good once...when they are fresh. All the COPOS that we have had bring back good memories ..I think Dave went 2 1/2 days without sleep
