Re: Old Street Scenes
Rick, I was told it might have been some sort of alarm system or something? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif Kind of doubt it though considering the car was stolen shortly afterwards from that same spot. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif
Here is a cool "vintage" street shot of some dudes Deuce. https://www.yenko.net/photos/data/500...m/117_1776.JPG |

This was the way it done back then! - - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...chevelle_5.jpg - - My '66 had the alarm switch in between the flags - - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...27435/66c3.jpg - - The alarms were easily over come - they were mounted the way the one in the Chevelle was - facing down. A thief would just crawl under the car and jam a screw driver into the alarm siren and disable it! |

[ QUOTE ] - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...0Thon/a107.jpg - - [/ QUOTE ] Those shots of Charleston SC are pretty cool. [/ QUOTE ] This shot is actually from Raleigh, NC - My Dad was from Zebulon, NC, a town reminiscent of Mayberry - a trip to Zebulon meant a trip to Coopers for real southern BBQ and hush puppies! And it was "Air Conditioned!" - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...27435/a108.jpg - - I'll keep this thread going as long as it's enjoyed - Thanks! |
