This is hilarious BTW!! :grin: I was like 2 in 1970, and began driving in 1985 - FWIW, my local scene never, ever, referred to any of year of Nova as a 'Deuce'. Sounds like it was a regional thing....
So, the Nova being badged as both a Nova and a Chevy II goes back to the 1st generation, and the Chevy II identifier is indeed from being the off shoot of the older and larger Impala line. Some folks believe that '68 was the 'only' year that the Nova was dually badged, but that is not the case, it is simply the last year for that practice. Yenko keyed off the Chevy II moniker when he coined the Yenko Deuce package, and then keyed off of that when he coined the Yenko Ace package for 1971....
