That is an export VIN.

What exactly would that mean? The car was exported at one point? Thanks, Ray |
It was shipped partially assembled to a GM plant, possibly in Venezuela. Final assembled and originally titled there.

That's the VIN for a car that was assembled in Caracas, Venezuela. It wasn't exported, it was shipped *completely* disassembled (exactly the same parts that came into the NOR or LOS plant) and assembled there.
See my article: http://www.camaros.org/foreign.shtml That car is missing its trim tag, btw. |
The car is displayed as a z/28 with spoilers. I have asked for a picture of the cowl tag as well as the title. Anybody know anything else about this 1969 Camaro? Is it a real z/28 it’s a resto-mod now. Anybody ever see this car up close and personal? Mike

Did you read my article?

Yes I know the vin is legit but I also read but haven’t heard from the dealer that the cowl tag is missing or not. A post I saw said it was. So how bad is that when it comes to reselling of the cowl tag is missing on a resto mod

Read the article.

At least the Caracas cars also have a normal VIN plate (not all foreign built cars did).
