Here's the write up for July 1975 win. Was posted on another part of the page. Can't believe that Muncie M22 lasted seven rounds. Tire technology was nothing like it is today, and we were only running 7" tires back then.

Paul Kiel's COPO 427 Camaro at 75-80. Probably taken in the late 1970's. This car was fast! In the resto process now. A Valley Chevrolet, Cockeysville, MD car.

Joe,
Wasn't that mystery Muncie shifter, POS! I can tell you that. Hurst Competition Plus. Didn't want to cut up the floor. It worked fine and got the job done. I'll look for the girly photos, LOL, Happy New Year, Jerry |

Joe,
Here you go. Some 1970's eye candy. This must be 1976 as that's the year I retired the Chevelle from racing and build the new '66 Chevelle race car. It was also the year I put that Harwood hood scoop on the car and gained nothing in ET. Was a Malibu flat hood. I knew enough not to butcher the original SS hood. I miss that 1970 Kingswood station wagon. That was a great tow car and I actually sold my '69 Z28 to buy that vehicle. Was workiing at Miller Chevrolet in Ellicott City, MD at the time. Someone had traded in the SW and I grabbed it. Jerry |
Re: Super Chevy Sunday Blast From The Past
I'm surprised you didn't gain anything with your cold box.....The best cold air unit I had was a 442 setup and I ran the tubes thru the high-beam openings on a '66 SS396--once the revs came up the car just surged forward....Nice vintage photo of the girls .....How come you got rid of that Chevelle?---and Don't tell me you swapped it for a tow car............ https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif
