Re: The Cubs

My definition of insanity: Do the same thing but expect a different result. This applies to the Cubs for the last 100 years. BTW, deep down I still would like to see them win but I know that it will never happen unless drastic changes are made.

The Cubs are losing, and we Chicago fans are supposed to be surprised? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Chicago isn't watered down. We won the World Series a few years ago, we were in the Super Bowl a few years ago, the Bulls make to the playoffs quite often, the Blackhawks are doing well. Hey, we're not Boston, but we're doing better than most other cities. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

The Cubs aren't losers, they're just in a 100 year slump. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif

Fans continually trek to Wrigley Field & pay top dollar, year after year after year after year after year to fill the stands and watch them lose.

Why should the Cubs organization even consider hiring a winning team?

[/ QUOTE ] Exactly right! As long as this keeps happening things will stay the same. Remember Wrigley Field is just a giant bar. Most of the people are not even watching the game anyhow, they're too busy texting and talking on their cell phones or getting drunk. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif

Exactly what I've been saying for many years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
