This one too: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet...5fCarsQ5fTrucks The VIN (listed) 124379N670533 http://image7.autorevo.com/724/pics/...a906bf98f2.jpg The VIN is for 08A 1969, but the trim tag "body sequence number" is an 08A 1968 number. This cheater didn't do their homework. Am I off base here? Tony Huntimer Camaro Performers Magazine [/ QUOTE ] Like William said: BDY reset. Here is my 08A tag with an even lower number: |
Reset of BDY numbers in 69
Lynn,
That's a low one! Your VIN must be close to 124379N670000. The reset is something that I didn't know and that's why I'm glad somebody pointed it out. I can understand why they reset it (probably to have a standard of always resetting in August), but without the VIN to match with the cowl tag the numbers can get confusing. It would have been less confusing and kept the numbers further apart if they reset on 07A. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif Plus I hadn't read about the resetting of the numbers before. If I could go back and edit my previous posts on "calling out" the owners of those cars I would. I hope I didn't cause any grief. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif Tony Huntimer RaceHome.com |

Am I correct in assuming that these are the elusive "1970" Camaros? Damn. Looks like the GM Photo Store doesn't appear to have the picture of the 1970 plated 69 anymore... |
Re: Reset of BDY numbers in 69
What about this "numbers matching" 69 Z28 listed on eBay?

Re: Carpet Doesn't Match the Drapes -SO RUN!
Actually, this car, 124379N670533 is a real Z. My father owned this car from '70 thru '78. If you look at the ad for Texas Musclecars, the guy states the #. The trans is from a '72 Camaro made in Los Angeles. The original owner of the car removed the original M21 before my dad got it. It was special ordered with a '70 color. The paint is the original tag color, but is incorrectly done with black stripes. Thanks!
