Re: Gonna need some ideas for this one

69VN: I'm kinda digging those Cragar GT's. I'll strongly consider those if I decide to paint the car black.

Markinnaples: are there any drawbacks for cruising with 50's in the rear besides road feel? I remember a few hairy experiences driving the Chevelle pictured above in the rain. Then again it didn't have power steering/brakes...

Doubt I'll do graphics or a spoiler, though a duck tail might look OK.

There's got to be a nice shot of a car like yours with these beauties. I'll go looking for it later!

pxtx I have a 1970-1972 Pontiac A Body blog with over 1,000 pics and I don't recall seeing any with those exact wheels?

Just a thought.....but would I be a horrible person for dropping a rectangle port Chevy BB in this? I keep picturing it with a tarantula manifold and a canted Holley 850

Too bad the tunnel ram below is 1 of a kind

ChevyandPontiac: that thing is awesome!

They can't too mad since most (all?) Canadian 70-72 Lemans/T37 came with Chevy mills.

Chevy BB swap seems fairly painless

Chevelle frame mounts
Chevy bolt pattern tranny
Possible driveshaft yoke change (not sure with the BOP TH350)
Chevelle battery tray/relocate battery to the passenger side
Modify alternator wiring harness for alternator side switch

It is easier than you think. You can use your trans, speedway makes an adapter for $35. Then you just use bbc headers for a chevelle.

Here's a pic of the chevy set up in the last 68 Firebird I bought. .060 over 12 to 1 402, solid cam and it was a beast. I bought it for the body when I was in my Pontiac period and it eventually went back to ALL Pontiac after the state said they wouldn't register it that way. How about a RA III engine?

Have a free day, let's see if I can get off the interweb and get some stuff done

Not sure if these valve covers will clear the AC unit...

Tow Tabs:

Doesn't look like these will fit without cutting up the panel. Wonder if I'd have better luck with tabs for an Endura bumpered Camaro?

Think it should go higher in the back?
