Does anyone know how these were applied to the windshield, was it a glue stick?

I did a '70 PA repro sticker for my Deuce a few years back. As stated before there are small black dots which represent the holes for the letters/numbers. They were a very small holes. I borrowed my wife's craft punch with teeny holes and it really makes the sticker look better/realistic. I am thinking a craft store would carry these.

Sam - I think you are answering a different question. I purchased an authentic inspection sticker, same as the one in the beginning of this thread. It has the proper small holes for the letters/numbers. My question is regarding the holes punched by the person doing the inspection before applying the sticker to the windshield, for the month and day of the inspection. Is it a small or standard size punch?

Regarding the posts about Bob's reproduction stickers, I can't comment because I didn't buy one. But I do agree that if you wanted to make the repro look more authentic, a very small punch would match the holes on this real one.

I agree and take a small punch and do the month etc. punches and it looks pretty good. One can also purchase the year stickers for the license plates to have a vintage plate on their car. Good stuff and small $ that add interest. I've been asked many times "Hey, where did you get the inspection sticker?"
