Formica (yes the laminate co) also make a good quality contact adhesive. I've used it for many yrs on counter tops and also many times when contact adhesive is needed with the car resto's. It can also be sprayed, brushed, or rolled on.

Which adhesive used depends on the type of material you are gluing. Vinyl top, headliner, foam, etc. We also use the Dap adhesive for headliners as it is readily available and have had good luck with it. My past upholsterer used a different commercial grade gun adhesive but I do not recall what it was. The 3M77 and/or 3M90 spray can adhesives are so so for the home DIY'er but I have to order 3M90 as no one carries it around here. However and again I do not suggest using it if you can avoid it as long term can be an issue.

For anyone interested, I ended up heating the sticker with a hair dryer put it in place and continued heating it and it stuck like new. Thanks for all the help

I tried to reglue my sagging headliner in my 79 z/28 with 3M 77 spray glue. It lasted about 2 months and now its fallen back down. :mad2:

So, on a sagging headliner (one piece, early 90's car), I am guessing the best way to remedy is to remove the whole lining and spray new adhesive.

What would be the adhesive of choice? I don't think the contact cement would work, as it would bleed through the material.
