this is a dumb question, especially since I bought a 73 vette my senior year in high school and I still have it, but did the L82 not have call outs on the hood in 73? (my car is just a L48)

No it didn’t. I believe not until 77.

Thank you. I spent hours restoring them. They are made to look like the RPO YJ8 wheels from 73 that were recalled.

I like it, don't really see many of them these days :biggthumpup: Pretty darn good running cars too for the time period.

My grandfather bought his 74 new, L82 4-speed. His is that sort of burnt orange color they had back then.

This is a nice read about the L82 and how it was a standout during the dog years of the 1970's. I remember driving a new 1979 red 4 spd L82 when I worked at a Chevy dealer back then...had to do a dealer swap with Curry Chevrolet in Westchester...it was a fun drive on the Taconic Parkway :3gears:
