Amazing how people loaded up wagons like that back in the day. We had a 72 Ford Country Squire and my father had a mechanic rip all the smog stuff off the 1st week we had it, unreal

And now in the Craigslist add its "ALL ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING 427 ENGINE"

Original add "A 1969 Chevy Kingswood, original a 400/2 A/C Auto wagon, now has a rebuilt 427/T400"

That's an amazing transformation.

About 20 years ago I was at the Floyd Garrett Musclecar Museum in Pigeon Forge, and there was a virtual twin to this car - white with wood grain, hideaways, but this one had the L72 427 in it. It was like Clark Griswold on steroids. Neat car.

The one that Floyd had was an Ohio car that had a pretty extensive drag strip history in the Buckeye State. That car I think is now in the GM Heritage Center on display.

Here is another of I believe a different car. Love to buy them both at that price today!

This L72 wagon I believe was sold by Taylor Chevrolet in Rochester when new.
