No, I bought my Satellite from a gentleman here in British Columbia. My car was originally sold by a small Mom & Pop dealership in Carnation, WA. I have recently spoken to the original owner who only had the car for a year before letting it go...he said it scared him.

Okay, I'll play. Is your red car an automatic that was in Tacoma, WA 20 years ago before going to BC? My collector friend had a nice red one until he was able to replace it by getting the 1600 mile Citron Gold automatic car out of Pat McGruder's collection.

Nope...mines a 4 speed, it's been in BC for decades.

----Zapper,,,That 1600 mile car went thru Classic Motors in Hinsdale Ill. around the end of the 70s early 80s. Story of how we ended up with it is too long to type, but if you are interested give me a call at 810-420-0431. I may have info that you never knew existed......Bill S

My friend sold the 1600 mile car around 2005 and used the money to buy a new Ford GT. Late yenko.net member Paul Denhert bought it at Barrett Jackson shortly thereafter. It was sold no reserve after Paul’s death at auction a few years later for about half (!) it’s previous sale to the attentive Charley L., who knows a bargain when he sees one and served as a quick conduit to a friend’s collection. Last he told me, his friend still has it. It’s still the “newest” old car I’ve ever been in. Here's the link to the Mecum auction it was in: https://www.mecum.com/lots/SC0511-10...emi-satellite/

----While interesting there are some things left unsaid. For instance, the original owner also had a 1970 Hemi Challenger with similar mileage that he also bought new. He sold both cars and one other he also bought new to Classic Motors where I worked. I was supposed to work a trade with my 9000 mile 396/375 69 Camaro for the Challenger, but ended up loosing the car to someone from (I think) Iowa. I have never seen or heard of the Challenger again. The third car was a 1971 LS6 Mulsanne Blue Corvette. Mileage on that one was similarly low. The Corvette is known in Corvette circles. Tim G may recall it.
----There are still some more interesting tidbits. The whole story is amazing!.....Bill S
