When did GM close up there ?

Closed by GM in 1982.

Reopened in 1984 as (New United Motor Manufacturing) NUMMI.

Now operated by TESLA.

There was a GM plant in Framingham Massachusetts that closed up in the early eighties it is now an ADESA Auction site i went there in the early seventies on a plant tour Chevelles & Cutlass & Buick & Pontiac

The Fremont drag strip was nearby and in many photos of races you can see the old GM plant in the background.
