I was thinking the same thing on hp claim. Maybe it's a typo and is supposed to be 475
Interesting interior too. It does have the opera lights of a deluxe, but they must have sold the rest. Now has standard door panels and '68 ? seats. Pics show original appearing gas tank and spring location, so the tires must fit. |
Love this car, wish it was closer to Chicago

Yes, 675 seems like a lot. Years ago I had a '70 Chevelle race car that made close to 600 HP at 8000 RPM with a pretty radical 355 inch small block. No nitrous but heavily modified old school GM heads, tunnel ram, dual 750 cfm 4150's, roller, 14 to 1 compression. Not much power below 6500 rpm! Ran an 8800 rev limiter chip.
Doug Nash 4speed, 5.38 gears. No electronics at all, other than a MSD with a rev limiter. Not very consistent (with me in the seat) but quite a ride-broke stuff constantly (mostly tranny and clutch) but lots of fun! The previous owner drove better than I and ran real low 10's in the 1/4 or 6.50 in the 8th. Best run I ever made was a 6.70 in Minot ND. Sorry if I derailed this thread a bit but I thought a few folks might enjoy the story and pics. Oliver |

Looks like quarters are stretched a bit, and I thought I saw a picture of wheel tubs at some point. Pretty cool car. |

Probably a nice rust free car but the seller needs to put some pics up of the trunk and the floors. I like it. |
Went and looked back at the pics, quarters are definitely stretched, looks great with the big tires.
Dan when you buy it you might want to change the fuel pump setup. Neat car for sure. |
675hp should go faster than mid 11s... but 675 with a Quadrajet?? I mean call me a critic but SHOW ME!
Car is not too far from me... would be fun to leave it in as found condition and keep it a race car. |
Sounds like the heads were done up right but I'm thinking maybe that the sellers claim on the HP is a bit optimistic.
Maybe someone with interest can ask if there's a dyno sheet or some time slips. |
675 at the crank with a small block from the 80s or 90s is not likely with a stock casting 350 block, stock ported heads and is that a quadrajet I'm not a car guy.
A friend just made 750 with a stroked 42x dart little m, aftermarket heads maybe Brodix, and he 's running a 1050 custom built dominator, and running something like a 2 1/8 step headers into 3.5" primaries. |
