yep, on a low production run, its easier to machine vs a new casting. Cool info on the wheels, I enjoyed. They likely are pricey, the wheels for the corvette (most got tossed) are going still in the 3K ish range. I have not hugged mine in a while ;)

Not only Checker/Yellow Cabs. They were listed as heavy duty parts and used in many service applications, like police cars, etc.

interesting wheels. Did GTO, 442 , or GS use this wheel ?

I know the 1965 442 listed a lot of HD suspension parts including a HD wheel and sway bars.

The only application that the part number of this wheel was ever listed for in any GM parts book was the Z16.
