Wow that's really neat. Since the Minnesota/GTO psychic hotline seems to be energized, I'll stick a plug in this thread to find my uncle's '70 GTO convertible red/red 455/4sp w/AC. Purchased used in '71 somewhere in the Twin Cities, titled in the names McDonough and Kimbrel until '79 or so.

(PS - If this car is sitting in a collection somewhere with its quote-unquote "original" engine, have the owner PM me and maybe I'll go edit out that comment about the 5 or 6 engines it went through during the "ME" decade. It'll be our little secret https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif)

well, here is the final word on my dads GTO Judge. we made the trip to atlanta to watch the nascar race and on the following sunday we drove up to Albertville, AL where we met the prior owner. what a great guy and a true fan of the musclecar! the paper work on the car (protect-o-plate), original build sheet, and dealer papers are now reunited with the car! the prior owner said it belonged with the car, AT NO CHARGE! only a handshake and the agreement that if my dad ever sells the car he is first on the list. we found out the car has had 3 owners in Alabama alone with this man being the 3rd. it was originally purchased by bill simpson who owned it briefly. again, thanks to the board for there help and thanks to polarwhite70judge for coming through in a big way!

I know it's been the better part of a decade since I last posted about this, but I figured it needed to be wrapped in a bow. The car was sold about 5 years ago at the onset of the recession. I was able to follow ownership of it up until about 2 years ago. Here are the before and after images of the Judge. The car went on to win "Best Judge" at the Land O Lakes Muscle Car Classic.

With the housing crash dad had to sell in 2010. Since then, it's passed through at least 4 hands, sadly. Last I heard it crossed the auction block in Houston at MECUM 2013. I reached out to the auction house to see if the current owner would be interested in the history of the car but was told that the don't allow contact between parties.

I have a pad of NOS invoices from Ziebarth Chevrolet and a book full of NOS receipts from the same.
