Re: How much fun would you have with this old wago
Not to highjack the thread, but I am also a "Long-roof" owner.
Some of you know Dan Jensen and his various cars. Quite some time ago I purchased his 69 "Super Bee" Wagon. At the time, this Nebraska bodied wagon was that lovely shade of Light Green. In the early 90's Dan took the various components that make a Super Bee a Super Bee and transferred them to this wagon. Included is the full 383/727 drivetrain, complete factory style dual exhaust with the "proper" tips out back, a complete Ramcharger hood setup, including the under-dash vent and just about everything else that would make you think this was a factory build. The wagon was stripped and some body work done. After a very negetive painter experience, we re-stripped it, shot the engine compartment and jambs in Plum Crazy and primed the outside. This was back in 95/96. I had the engine rebuilt and added a 484 purple shaft cam and a few other "tricks". (It runs great, btw) My Son and I broke it out for Mopar Nats twice, most recently two years ago. Ian (my Son)and I had a blast cruising around in it and commented on how it was now perceived as "cool". I threw a small "For Sale" sign in it, half fishing for a buyer since I hadn't used it in years. Several people "had to have it" but nobody came up with any $$ Yes...I still have it and it sits unused and basically unloved in my garage. |
