The state's FAQ on the order dispels the claim, stating “while the order places certain limits on how goods are sold, it does not ban Michiganders from buying any item, including flags.” A representative from the state’s press office also told USA TODAY that Whitmer is not banning the sale of US flags.

The order also notes large stores must close off areas of stores meant for carpeting, flooring, furniture, gardening and paint. The limits only apply to in-person sales and do not apply to stores with less than 50,000 square feet.

Michigan made the news all the way out here in Arizona. Stating that Michigan has the most stringent beer virus rules and regulations in the entire country now and it's starting protests LOL

On a brighter note, I just filled up the Z this morning and prices have dropped again. Now $2.49 for 91 octane, that's 20 cents cheaper than last Thursday when I filled it up.

muscle_collector 04-16-2020 02:23 PM

regular unleaded is .98 in tulsa at sams

Your wife let you drive the Z today??? Sorry Larry!

WILMASBOYL78 04-16-2020 03:45 PM

Gas Prices...

Just bought some regular for $2.05/gallon in western Mass....NYS is still about .20/gal higher...but, then again we are always higher on everything.

As for the Michigan situation...it is another example of the deep divide that exists in our nation...the COVID-19 issue has helped to make it even more pronounced. What we need now, more than ever, is 'compassionate leadership'...not more decrees and executive orders that further the divide.

Most people will do the right thing if you approach them with respect and offer sensible recommendations...I believe the carrot is always better than the stick.

Just filled up at Costco this morning.

x33rs 04-17-2020 12:55 PM

Wow, I thought Costco was supposed to be cheaper than that?

The $2.49 I paid yesterday for 91 octane was at the local Maverick.

mssl72 04-17-2020 07:58 PM

Well, it's in Southern California. Ya know where oil is and refineries are. Should be at least on par with the rest of the country, but I think they know they have a HUGE captive audience. :mad2: It is about $1.00 cheaper than the last time I filled up!

Oops sorry I missed that, didn't realize you're in Cali.

Filled up the Bird yesterday. I should have wore my members only coat, had a AC/DC 8 track going, hair is long, felt just like the 70’s again. Lol.

(Reg was $1.09)

L78_Nova 04-29-2020 01:25 PM

Prices are starting to climb here again... we'll see if it sticks.

x33rs 04-29-2020 01:25 PM

Still hovering around $2.60 a gallon for 91 here in Prescott when I topped a car off yesterday.
Going to stop and top another car off this morning at a different station up the street but I don't expect much difference in price. Arizona just hasn't seen the big drops some states are seeing but it's always been that way here.

I just got back from the local Maverick. Price for 91 dropped to a whopping $2.45 a gallon. Yeehaa

JRSully 05-01-2020 11:38 PM

Who would have ever thought in this day and age, gas would would get to down to almost $1/gal, unreal. Need to go buy about 100 gallons of 110 and store it somewhere, stuff never goes bad

x33rs 05-02-2020 12:12 AM

I just filled up another vehicle today and 91 has now dropped to $2.39
That's the cheapest I've paid for 91 in probably 25 years.

mssl72 05-06-2020 06:06 AM

A few weeks ago I filled up at Costco at 2.599. I filled up today.

Wow, why the jump?

I went to the same Maverick this morning to top off, and 91 dropped another 10 cents to $2.29 a gallon from just a few days ago when I was there.

mssl72 05-06-2020 08:07 PM

I couldn't tell ya. It's SoCal. We have oil wells, refineries, LOTS of people and cars. I guess they figure we have money to blow with everything that's going on. :dunno: :bs:

They see an opportunity to grab that stimulus money coming in

:)

kwhizz 05-07-2020 11:10 AM

Gas is up here about $.50 a gallon in the last week...……..

Mr70 05-07-2020 01:34 PM

Paid $1.80 a Gal. here on Friday.
It's $2.15 today.

TimG 05-07-2020 01:48 PM

Much may have to do with dealers trying to get some good margins to make up for volume losses in the past 60 days. The smaller independent retailers don't make big margins on fuel.

70 copo 05-11-2020 04:22 PM

Paid $8.99 a gallon here in Ohio for 110 octane leaded race fuel today.

Last fall when normal gas was significantly higher- leaded race fuel was $6.99 a gallon then.

Go Figure...:dunno:

x77-69z28 05-11-2020 05:50 PM

I just paid $1.89 for high test at Costco yesterday.
Buddy

L72Biscayne 05-12-2020 01:31 PM

I just paid $9.24 credit and $9.14 cash in Haverhill Ma. Cam 2 , 110 leaded. Purple haze! Haffner Gas in Haverhill Ma. open 24 hours. They have two Cam 2 pumps. Iv'e seen regular as low as $1.35 in Whitman Ma.
