I ran my Camaro through NCRS and they reported...

Dealer Zone: #16
Dealer Code: #708

Zone # 16 is located in NC or SC.

Unfortunately the GM documents do not list the dealer name or location for this dealer.

Could it have been because of a dealer trade?

Jim,
Yes looks like a Dealer Trade, Your POP shows zone 16 dealer 535 which is North State Chevrolet, your most likely selling dealer. Unfortunately, NCRS and Chevy Muscle Docs falls short on identifying Dealers at times but you always have us to help: [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif[/img]. Dealer 16 Zone 708 is Smith Chevrolet 508 W. Franklin Ave, Gastonia, NC. I also clipped 2 ads for you that display a 69 Camaro, figured you'd enjoy. See below:

Awesome! Thanks Paul! Do you have a copy of anything that shows that? I know they will want to see some supporting paperwork before they put Smith Chevrolet on their report. I will ask them anyway....but I'm sure they will ask for some kind of example. Ps - the stuff you did for me on my LS6 rag was fantastic!

Paul did a window sticker and I believe a dealer form for it ......just for display purposes. I think I asked your input on it to dial it in as Paul was sending me drafts of it. Yes the car had the original POP and one and a half build sheets - which you found in the car.......good paper to be sure!

I have a shipping data report for my 71 ElCamino. It gave me the production date of 01/27/1971 and the Zone code of 18 which I know is Des Moines, IA. The report also gave me the dealer code of 65, but stated: &quot;Unfortunately the GM listing does not have the name for this Dealer.&quot;

Does anyone know the name of this dealer by chance? I appreciate any help you can offer. I found some info which indicated it might be Bird Chevrolet, in Dubuque, Iowa, which I understand is still in business.

anybody have info on zone 14 dealer 251? NCRS claims that zone 14 is only MD, VA, and DC, but 3 dealers in southern PA have come back in zone 14. So far, NCRS won't re-issue my paperwork with some southern PA dealers included in zone 14! Maybe if I could identify the dealer (251) they would reconsider. Any help would be appreciated.

Agree, I have a 'Vette build sheet from '76 that has 49-580 as Sunderland, not sure they weren't 497 before that so....quite frustrating!!

Anybody have a dealer invoice for a 1969 model year car from zone 3, dealer code 342 ?
My NCRS docs came back 3 years ago for my 1969 Chevelle postcar as Harris Chevrolet-Oldsmobile, Inc. in Hannibal, MO. However, reliable sources from this site have told me it could be Hauck Chevrolet in Waynesville, MO. I've been told Harris was in business until 1988 and then became Fred Bates Chevrolet.

I just got back my NCRS sheet for my 67 Vette it says
Zone 13 Dealer 687 Richard chevrolet Bellaire Oh. But if I put that Zone and dealer into the Dealer look up data base it comes up as Star Chevrolet in Greensgurg Pa, but if I put Richard Chevrolet in it comes up as Zone 13 dealer 688. Any ideas what is correct

The NCRS report indicates Zone 13 Dealer 687 for your 1967.
The zone office will change the dealer number for the same dealer name over at any time.
Your search on the data base lists a different name for the same numbers.
What year was did this change happen?
The data base is update by people with their information of the dealer.

Did you try ordering the Chevy Muscle Docs report?

Yes, that info came from Chevy Muscle Docs for my 69 Chevelle VIN. But their data base did not include the dealer name and town.

hello i am new to this site and doing research on Vintage dealer tags.
i have 4 vintage dealer tags ranging from 1967 to 1974. Can anyone help in identifying the dealer name for my plates? I called the Ohio BMV and they said the purge all info after 7 years. Mine are all ohio dealer tages with a dealer number and a tag number and year. am i in the right place? Can anyone help? thanks andy
