I've got measurements somewhere, I'll see if I can find 'em. No need to be too exact with the tach location, they were sort of like stripes - 'close was good enough'!

Bob,

Here are a few reference photos for a "ball park" reference with and without(a bit hard to see) tach in place. This hood is original to the car.

These pictures will work great.
I took a long break from working on my car; I really do not have a place to work on it during the winter. I'd like to get the paint on this Fall. I've debated the bc/cc vs. ss until I can't see straight; I'm going with ss (I think). Got a good formula for PPG ss Cranberry Red?

Bob, I have a template somewhere. I see if we can scan it and send one to you. I have a ppg bc/cc formula if you want it. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Bob,

Joe Barr (CamaroJoe) has quite the collection and should be able to give you an idea. Of course it depends on condition. Here are my originals, pock marks, faded, and all >>>>

Re: Roof Deuce Restoration

I tried to find the fairly recent thread on radiator cap restoration, but couldn't https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif . Someone suggested using Windex and quad-ought steel wool. Worked wonders! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif I spent the last two evenings using plenty of elbow grease as it is pretty slow going. My Windex had a little vinegar (acid) in it which I think helps. Last photo compares my restored original to a reproduction. It is not a bad repop, but there are differences in the brass rivet and some details in the letters.

Big thanks to the fella who suggested the Windex and 0000 steel wool https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif !
