My first and only Pontiac I owned. I was going to Dunwoody at the time driving a 120,000 mile 67 SS Impala. My neighbor just bought a brand new 1981 Sunbird and offered me this green/green 71 Firebird (file photo) that he was going to trade in. They offered him $150 so he sold it to me for that price. One of the most fun cars I had owned up to that point and very agile with 350 and 350 turbo trans. This is the car I later traded even up for when I got the Lemans Blue SS396 Chevelle I have posted several times before.

Another first and only Pontiac. This is the only pic I have on the computer. Bought early 80s. 1966 Pontiac Tempest Custom convertible, 326/PG. I bought it from the original owner whose daughters flattened the front end when the single MC brakes failed.
I had to replace the rotted frame, patched the rusty floor, replace the front end and freshened the engine/trans all in my parents driveway :) This pic is the maiden voyage from NJ to Emerald Isle NC literally after tuning the engine at 2am and leaving the next day. Young and stupid! The only issue we had on the trip was the trans mount had a rusty end and let go halfway through the trip and landed on the parking cable causing the rear brake to heat up (smoke/smell/drag). A stop at a local shop who welded some steel on the end got us back on the road in no time. As a side note, when I sold it as the new owner was backing out of my driveway, the rusted brake lines busted again! But he was able to get it on the trailer using the E-brake. No worries though, new owner from North NJ was going to fully restore it. |

My 69 Judge I had in high school. Got it in 77 or so. It was a pattern 4 speed AC Judge too. Sold it in the late 80's locally and it never resurfaced again
