Re: Fred Gibb Memorial Car Show 2010
Diana and I had a nice time at Monmouth as well as LaHarpe visiting with everyone.
Cool to see the club area at Monmouth overflowing with a wide variety of muscle, new and old. Ditto at LaHarpe, where even more club members turned out, filling the tents and adjacent areas. The best part, well, best parts, seeing Helen Gibb up and at it, and seeing Bob L. and Nancy Gibb showing off their 2010 Gibb Camaros. |
Re: Fred Gibb Memorial Car Show 2010
It was indeed a fantastic weekend. Hats off to Bob L. and all of the crew for all their hard work and effort. Trust me...it all doesn't just happen!
Dennis is right, to watch Bob with his new "toy" is indeed a sight to see. His smile could light up a whole city! Let's continue this at SCR and then on to MCACN II! Bashton MCACN Managing Member |

Re: Fred Gibb Memorial Car Show 2010
Like I said earlier, a few of us ran over to the site of the Gibb Dealership for some pix late Saturday afternoon. I had been back at the building a number of times over the years, and my car has been back in LaHarpe several times too, ..... but the car hadn't been there since 1970, ............ so ............
Grady's '67 L-88, Mike's '69 L-78, Don's '69 Yenko, Me, Annie's #15 '68 Gibb COPO and Darren's '70 L-78. http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/DSCF2155.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/DSCF2159.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/DSCF2169.jpg A couple of '70s together. http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/DSCF2196.jpg |
Re: Fred Gibb Memorial Car Show 2010
Cool pics...
Hate to admit it, but thanks to our GPS, the wife and I traveled from Monmouth to LaHarpe via the same route Howie and his merry men did, which brought us by the Fred Gibb dealership building. Always neat to see it, remembering the history created there. |
Re: Fred Gibb Memorial Car Show 2010
My Garmin also tried to send me the "Howie route"... ...there is no replacement for checking a map too..
The trip to corn country was well worth it, as always, great to see some good friends again. See you in Collinsville. Mike |
