Re: Lift stop cable unit

i have a #325875 nos in the original box with instructions. i bought it years ago to put on my 69 ss chevelle but it would not fit over my large tube headers. i thought it would look cool though. are these things worth anything? best place to sell? ebay maybe? really wish i could have used it as a cool underhood piece. thanx mike

I paid a little over $100 for an nos set-up, in excellent condition. I was happy with the value of the sale. Ebay is probably your best bet. There were a number of others who bid against me.

Thank for all the info guys. I'm a little under the weather, but as soon as I get better I will install it and post some pics.

Thanks Again...Bill

Bought one NOS-in-box w/instructions for my '67 L35 Camaro. Got it on eBay several years ago for 125-ish.

I have a s/b with AC one that attaches to the lower compressor bracket. I have never seen one for b/b with AC, but I suspect it's the same, only the cable is a little longer. I considered making a little extension bracket IIRC, need to extend about 1" to 1.25") to adapt the s/b kit to my b/b with AC car.

Anyone ever seen one for b/b with AC?

I just noticed that the Camaro & Nova use the forward mounting points from the #3 cylinder and the big car / B body uses the #5 cylinder:

Per a Sheet I have lifted from the net (nhtsa.dot.gov)

Chevrolet, Camaro, 1968
NHTSA Campaign ID number 68V085000 Dated SEP 09, 1968
Vehicle Speed Control
Throttle rod clip issue.

Chevrolet, Camaro, 1968

Engine & Engine cooling:Engine
Possibility that a seperated motor mount may allow engine to lift,,,,.

Seems like these NOS kits were 20$ at swap meets in the 80's
