Re: by Berger NOS Dealer Emblem on eBay

It does look real. I just do not like his story. This is the second one I have seen him sell. I needed one for my real car. Thanks to help from Good Guys on here I purchased one for a hundred dollars. I don't mind a guy making some money but this is taking advantage story. And if they end up being repo I hope they screw the guy to the wall. I was offered a repo but did not buy it. Again his does look real.

I think the wrong person is getting maligned.
In his feedback history, he has 58 sales within the last 6 months - none for Berger emblems. None in the past year +.

I found these in sold items - none are his auctions.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/171432052311 $111 from a 71 Chevelle
http://www.ebay.com/itm/151376163617 $242 new - gmpiecesparts in St Johns MI.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/151387042182 $242 new - same seller, last one.

Kurt,
reading the description, (neatly worded, new car prep guy) the sellers location, the "relisting" (both sold for $242.50) ????
and Reading between the Lines.
I come to the conclusion "they are the same seller" with 2 different eBay ID's..,,,,How many buyers/sellers have multiple Id's. ..... to bid up / protect there items?????

I'm a dummy though......just MHO

Re: by Berger NOS Dealer Emblem on eBay

I was bidding on one he had up for auction in Aug.
I was out bid in the last few seconds.
I received an email a day later asking if I was still interested. I said I was and asked what happened to the winning bidder?
His response was....I have 5 available.
Therefore.....he could have 5 available or as mentioned above, a second eBay ID to drive the price up. It's hard to say.
Just my 2 cents.

Re: by Berger NOS Dealer Emblem on eBay

Three weeks ago I deleted the other sale for $242. The location and seller name were near identical. Half of this description matches the other description. I remember something about it being found in the back of a drawer. Does this sound familiar to anyone else? I know the guy had the screws for sale after that auction. Not trying to malign anyone just smell a RAT. Just glad I got one before they became unobtainable.

Re: by Berger NOS Dealer Emblem on eBay

Oh my GOD
SOLD FOR.

$690 + trip....

did our discussion with controversy drive the bidders ???

I hope the winning bidder see's our thread and the second highest bidder gets an email tomorrow asking if he is interested in "the last one"
Danchuck any one ????
I looked at the eBay one, the Members original and 3 of my own vintage emblems......I adjust my thoughts and think it IS A NEW RE*REPRO. ..TOO NICE on the Machining holes for the screws. And just to "crisp" for a 45 year old flash chromed piece of diecast.
