Great C3! That is one car that I would still like to own, a 70 LT-1 Convertible. Great driving car with the high winding small block. Good Tranny and rear end combo too.

Congrats!

WOW, I'm a big C3 fan and that is spectacular. What kid in his right mind turns down a Corvette, any Corvette, let alone an LT-1 C3??? This country is in some kind of trouble when a kid would rather have a new iPhone than an historic sports car, sheesh man. That makes me sad.

----Don't know how I missed this thread. I bought a very similar 1970 LT-1 new in January of 1970. All pretty much the same except deluxe gut, color and all. Had 4;11s and the very 1st time I raced it with the only change being a set of borrowed slicks it broke into the 12's. 12.90 to be exact. And,,,the slicks were so tall that I ran out the back door in 3rd. What a great car!.......Bill S

Well Bill, I bought my HO Z from the original owner 2 yrs ago, he was racing it at maple grove early on in life with slicks and some tricks up his sleeve changing coil springs, he put his slicks on the original May dated YH rally's and had the screws holes and he also made the valve stem hole larger. I am anxious to drive this for the first time, the engine sounds awesome.

Thinking about registering the 2nd owners personalized plate on the car, but now she will think she owns half of the car....one good thing she cannot drive a stick.

That's cool. My '70 LT1 Convert has an M21 and 4.11s and while I'm not inclined to race it with the certified original motor, that sounds awesome. They're wonderful cars.

Nice. I am right down the road in Shippenburg (I bought my daily driver truck at Sutliff in 2016), and every time I see something like this, it makes me wonder what else is hiding in central PA.

----I bought the LT-1 in Massachusetts and drove it with probably 50 miles on the odo to Florida. Ran at Palm Beach raceway the following week. Never even had the valve covers off or timing adjusted,,,Nothing......Bill S

Great score Jeff. I see you're still rubbing in those warm temps you guys are getting while those of us up north are freezing our backsides off. I don't know what's worse...you cruising around in a drop top at 84 degrees, or Charley posting video's of tropical fish and Iguana's somewhere in the tropics.
