Absolutely they were rolled. The Hemi Challenger I bought from the OO and restored back in the 80's had them. Original fenders were rusted so I bought new ones direct from Chrysler. One side was still available with the rolled lip, the other side I had to have the body shop roll the lip to match. Must have been some really tight clearance such that an F60 required the rolled lip but the E60 did not.

BBBill, the F60s were part & parcel of the package you got when ordering the 426 Hemi engine. Apparently n/a with other engines so no need to list them as an option. Same deal with the tires that came with the AAR Cuda and T/A Challenger.

good info above, I just assumed F60 would be fine on the 340 70 cuda convert I am restoring (original 15" wheel car) but now I need to look at the window sticker info as I bet it will say E60. crap.

That information a guy said at a swap meet is 100% wrong.

Optional tires on E-Body's (except AAR's and T/A's) were E 60-15 GoodYear Poly Glas W/ all V-8's except a Hemi
Standard tire on E-Body w/Hemi was F 60-15 GoodYear Poly Glas
Standard tires on AAR's and T/A's were E 60-15 front and G 60-15 rear GoodYear Poly Glas

All these 60 series tires only came on 15x7 rims either steel wheel or rallye wheel no other choice for a 60 sries 15" Mopar

E 60-15 GoodYears are reproduced but on BO
F 60-15 GoodYears are reproduced but on BO
G 60-15 GoodYears are reproduced but on BO

So this means that the 440-6 cars got E60's and the Hemi cars got F60's? Wasn't aware of that.

Yes Bill that is correct

So the guy was right on the: "Standard tires on AAR's and T/A's were E 60-15 front", but not on the Hemi. So I'm not totally loosing it.

HEMI cars did not receive E60s, only F60s. Your 340 car would have received E60s, however I have seen 340 & 383 cars that were optionally equipped with 15-inch wheels get rolled fenders, even though not a Hemi car. Have a look at yours.

I checked the window sticker on the 70 340 convert and it just said wide oval and was part of a $68 group with all kinds of other items (hood pins, etc).

BUT I have a neat consumer information paper that folds to a large size that has the VIN on it and it ONLY shows E 60 -15 tire for the stopping distance.

Fun to see on this consumer information print out that a 70 340 cuda can be 100 ft behind a 55 ft long truck (both doing 50mph) and pass it to a point it's 100 ft in front of it in 10.7 seconds. So I guess I do have a 10 second car!!! ;)

When the Challenger first came out there was an option called A66: Challenger 340 4-bbl Engine Package which cost $258.90. Included with this option were E60x15 RWL Polyglas tires on the new 15" Rallye Wheels. Later in the model year the E60s were dropped as standard equipment for the option.

Unfortunately many of these were converted to R/Ts so only the fender tag will tell what it is.
