Re: Carlisle All GM Nationals/ Camaro Nationals
On second thought, I'm thinking letting Brian and/or Joe fly the jet may not be the best idea. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

But I DO feel for the pilot's agony. They get searched and inspected the same as a passenger. But they also have a crash axe in the cockpit, and..............if they really wanted to crash the plane all they have to do is lean forward. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif |
Re: Carlisle All GM Nationals/ Camaro Nationals
Sorry I didn't get to meet up with any of you guys. I was there from about 8:30 Saturday morning until a little after 5 when I headed home. I tried to hang around my car but there's too much to see and I kept finding myself walking around looking at stuff. I was dreading the 2-1/2 hour drive with the car but it wasn't too bad other than a broken exhaust hanger after hitting a high spot on the turnpike! I had to avoid some serious roadkill as well. Friday night must not be the night to be a deer on the tpk! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/ooo.gif

I had someone come up to me. Forgot who it was but they said "I have a Cortez Silver Z, but I'm not bringing it". https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif Did a lot of asking around for Champange. Gonna be tough.. |
Re: Carlisle All GM Nationals/ Camaro Nationals
Cool pics, thanks for posting. I was going to attend but was just worn out after Power Tour. It's a shame that the show looks kinda dead compared to Chryslers at Carlisle though https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif

Re: Carlisle All GM Nationals/ Camaro Nationals
Darren, what day did you take those pictures? Looks like Sunday or early Friday? I know Saturday was pretty crowded but still not as many cars as last year.

Re: Carlisle All GM Nationals/ Camaro Nationals

Friday Jeff. Was hoping you would have your car there. Nils and I were looking for you.. [/ QUOTE ] I was there all day Saturday from 8:30 to 5:15. There was a much bigger crowd of cars on Saturday. It's a great show with an awesome variety of GM cars to look at. I think they have a few too many classes of Camaros which made it confusing for a lot of people and the cars weren't organized as well as they could have been. A lot of people were commenting that they didn't know if they were in the right area and there wasn't much of a pattern to the groupings. I think I got around 14.5 mpg for the trip out and back so I can't complain! |
Re: Carlisle All GM Nationals/ Camaro Nationals
Well for starters I would like to congradulate Kenny on his second year through the Legend Series and taking his 69 L-78 Camaro from 98.3% to 99.9% https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif
Second I thank Kenny for his trust in me in taking his car to the Show so he could spend time with his son playing Little League. And Lastly, I want to Thank Kenny for a BIG eye opener. To becareful of the a-holes that we sometimes call friends. This so called "friend" of Ken's wanted to look at some tires that he wanted to sell and this "friend" was just pedaling them for Ken and that is fine. But when this so called "friend" leaves these tires in the middle of a field with out so much as a F-ing phone call to let me know that he was to busy doing donuts in the lawn then to call me and tell me to come get the tires back or bring them back to me. Thank god for good friends like C. White for calling me to tell me where he left them and I could catch up to J. Dottier to retrieve them. I asked Jeff he was asked to watch them and if he even knew who's they were and with no surprise he had no idea. I wouldn't trust this person now with so much as a bucket of S@*t to watch for me. I apoligize to the nice folks that had to here me rant, i just had to get that off my chest. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif The "MOF" |

I can't be the only one that wants to know. Linda or Pam??? [/ QUOTE ] I was in line for the first signing session at 11 am along with a bunch of other people. Got there about 10:45, at like 11:20 they said they hadn't heard from Linda, come back at 3. Pam was there, I thought she looked pretty good for her age. I never made it back to see Linda. |
Re: Carlisle All GM Nationals/ Camaro Nationals
Ed, Robert and I saw Linda at about 9:00pm and the Sunnyside restaurant.
