----I might just be in the minority but I love the original color! My father bought a 65 XKE roadster new in England and had it shipped himself. He wanted one, but was always a tad cheap. My brother still has it (he got it thru the will) and although we don't communicate I believe it probably still has less than 20,000 original miles. These Jags are just so cool in some of the rarer colors. His was Primrose Yellow....Bill S

Oh, don't fret Tim! Work continues on the 507 despite this tangential deviation!:biggthumpup: A few hours here, a few hours there, and apparently I've also been tasked with building a "mini-horse" trailer next month too. Anything else?:hmmm: Next up on the 507 is top frame final fitment and I need to get it back out to spray the high build primer on it. Door shell inner structure will follow after that.

What a nightmare. But, pretty much everything electrical is new which solves pretty much all the problems I was having. I’ll send the old rocker switches over to NJSteve since i know this year’s Christmas lights extravaganza may need some individual control:eek2: and these 1amp flimsy rocker switches are just the ticket to a fun-filled light show….in not so many ways:scholar::tongue: Attachment 232077 Attachment 232078 Now I have a stock looking panel again and Lucas, the English Prince of Darkness Electrical Demon, is safely tucked into new wiring so he should be contained until the next victim, er, owner, gets the car!:smile: I also replaced the transmission fluid with Redline MT-90 which is what the Jag guys swear by, apparently, so smoother shifts. In final fluid flushing fortitude, I replaced the canister oil filter with a spin on adapter. Just a few minor things to redo (carpet, button the interior back up) and I’ll be back on the road. That’s enough Jag right now. Time to get back on the 507!!!!:biggthumpup: Cheers Dave |
