Re: Significant 1969 Muscle Cars
Bashton thanks for the invite by my old war horse is far from display material. If you would like 1 of the 50 Lightweight 68.5 cars at the show I can help out possibly. Sounds like a great event.

For Mercury, you need a 428CJ Cougar Eliminator (1st year Eliminator pkg) or Cyclone Spoiler. A Spoiler II (ala Talladega) would complement your Daytona in the aero wars display, but I think they were all 351/FMX auto cars, which is kind of a letdown given the swoopy body. As for Boss 429 Cougars, I believe only one is found (in pieces) and its been "awaiting restoration" for over a decade. Good luck https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif [/ QUOTE ] On the contrary. The Shartman car is found and the other car is believed in pieces. And these 2 cars not only would qualify for most significant in 69 from Mercury, but easily could qualify for most significant for 69. http://www.mercurycougar.net/forums/...light=Shartman |

Sooo...anyone out there have a CJ Cougar? Bashton MCACN Managing Member |

Looks like we have another winner lined up...think Hurst/Olds!
We still need some AMC, Buick and Mercury representation. Bashton MCACN Managing Member |

[/ QUOTE ] Although we are set with a Pontiac for this part of the show, (the 69 T/A Convertible), we would LOVE to have you join us with your Grand Prix. It certainly is a rare piece and I am sure there are lots of people that would love to see it. I know I would! Bashton MCACN Managing Member |

I was thinking of my buddy's car in Michigan, he's got a gorgeous '69 GP SJ 428HO 4-speed. It would certainly fit in.
