Wheelhop, looks good.
Little bit of advice though, TRASH that air cleaner and put on a flat base with a K&N 3" or 4" element, and solid top, like OEM style chrome with the L88 call-out. Here's a dyno video on some air cleaners: https://www.motortrendondemand.com/d...ut/0_f6zyfspf/ Now on a 650Hp BBc, that air cleaner killed 71.1Hp. They "figure" it's good for mid 300Hp cars as after that it's seems to cost Hp, FYI. Glad I found this thread. I'm going to be picking up another Nova, a '67 SS. I'm planning on using my L88 shortblock with some ported '69 427/390hp "215" casting heads, and a .630/.637 cam with a Strip dom intake. This set-up in a 3600+Lbs Buick has ran 10.70's. |
Thanks for the tip EZ NOVA, I have it on there now for looks and I had one on my first 1969 chevelle SS in High School. Still a lot of "fine tuning" to get everything in place.

Had some fitment issues with my Ansen 2-Piece bellhousing so I swapped it out with this vintage 1-piece Ansen Scattershield.

Hey.....that’s a nice looking scattershield....and period correct. Where did you find that???? :hmmm:

Also, while I was in there, I installed this cool Hurst "black velvet" T-Handle I got from a member here on this site about a year ago (Dan Schutzbank). Had to swap out the stock muncie handle and use a Hurst handle which had the correct thread size.

Was cleaning up my garage and decided to hang up some Day-2 "art".
1 set is Lakewood and 1 is NMW. |

I’ll let you buy Karen a cocktail at MCACN in November...... :beers:
Her drinks are more expensive than mine....  |
Did you have any problems indexing that bell housing? The Lakewood bell housings are kind of a pain. Just wondering if the Ansen is any better.
