OH HECK YEAH Sweet mother Mary I want RAV with THOSE Glasco manifolds!!!!

It appears to me because of this pic, there is no way those Hot Rod manifolds will fit A body. Anyone second that.

Tom

The manifolds with the heat shields, ok on for the 303 but why the heat shields? Do you suspect they had serious plans of 303 production engine? Wouldn't have been much point in developing heat risers for racing?

Here is what Gary sent:

Here are a few pics of my unrestored "useless" 69 RA5 TA. Sorry the manifold pics don’t turn out very good, but not much room to get the angle on the camera. It might look better if I jacked the car up and took them from underneath it.

You guys are right,no way hot rod manifolds fit gto.I dont know which ones Mullikan had on that Judge,i remember he said he moved the motor over to one side half an inch, and he might have notched the frame .

John

Mullikan's is the GTO that Gene Ingle first owned from our dealership, but is it the one Purely PMD restored with the shift lighted hood tach? I think I've figured this out before but forgotten. This Judge that Purely PMD did aslo had the correct A body manifolds, as Pete McCarthy used it for picture illustration in his book.

Sincerely,

Steve

Re: RAIV and RAV more continuation....

Tom I can see that, sounds logical.

I just got off the phone with Ramair Restoration, they scan the donor manifold digitally now so there is no harm to the original what so ever. He said normal tooling starting type price is $12,000 but that is for several thousand casting type molds. Since RAV would be only a few dozen at best, the mold material may be less expensive. Again this is just rough guesstimate on Paul's part, but he will do it. He also said he has a set of the 303 manifolds and acted surprised when I told him what they where. HAHA Everyone should read Yenko forum, then they would be up on this stuff.

Speaking of the Ram Air Restorations manifolds, has anyone ever seen (or tried) the 3" round port RAIV versions for the 67-69 Firebird? If so, do they actually fit?

Why debate locations of building when you have the over head?
