Wayne has got a sweet collection of vintage mopar. He is a regular at the Pavillions and exercises a different one nearly every week. This car is quite impressive in person. This is a 4 Speed, 4.10 Dana, 6 pack built for speed. No PS. No PB. All Go. Original drivetrain + documented with a BS.

Question for the Mopar guru's. Wayne just had the lift-off hood redone and had "organasol" applied. It provides a very ruff, flat patina (with a fine gritty material) surface which can not be cleaned by normal means - he uses a paint brush to clean it https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif . Is this how they were originally delivered? Why this type of finish? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif

Ken, isn't that jet truck from WI? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif
I could swear that I've seen it trying to thaw the frozen tundra, or cook brats for the tailgaters. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
Original color green with yellow stripes.
A truck that only a cheese head could love. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

I think that jet truck has those on there because he hasn't been able to get his flame thrower exhaust to work?...

I know I'll sound like Cliff Clavin from Cheers, but here goes: They were produced that way from the factory, not for esthetic reasons but because the fiberglass technology at the time was so poor, they could not paint it a glossy finish without having major seams and imperfections showing through. That is the same reason the AAR Cudas and Challenger T/As had the same blacked out finish on their fiberglass hoods....as a matter of fact there Normy... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Bill( Bilede)- I hope that all goes well for your father in law...We'll get together sometime soon. You take care...and call me if there's anything I can do. I'll Pm you my number.

Sam- Thanks for the heads up on that car...Getting old is hell. I forgot almost immediately what that car was.
BTW, isn't Wayne the one who owns the yellow Road Runner Hemi that Charley liked so much...you know thw onewith the dust trails on the side?

Bill S.- Thanks for the complements. I think that I probably have more useless information stored inside my head than you do...at least your is cool information and stories! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif What stored inside my brain is anyones guess...I mean...do I really need to remember my phone number and address from when I lived in Huntsville, Alabama in 1966?

Steve Sandlin- Thanks again...the car ran Smooooooth! I hope that you got everything in order with "Car" in tow...judging at a car show has to be the pits...that's why at the 'little' car show that we had...we just had a peoples choice award...there was NO WAY I was going to get involved with judging cars... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Kasey...thanks for the compliments, too. There are still a few remaining bubbles...hopefully it will cool off soon around here. I will address them at that time https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Ken...you weren't supposed to tell anyone about the bubble filter...great, now what am I supposed to do? BTW, no, you can't have my car...but since we're on the subject...can I have your Nova? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/headbang.gif

Bob (Belair)- You already used that line... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif
Surely you can do better? LOL https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif
