You can see the tunnel is cut 8 1/2 inches behind the second rib. You can also see the interference between the reverse linkage and the bottom of the seat. I am put spacers under the seat and reweld the reverse handle to face forward. I could also use seat extenders. As it stands now, the ergonomics are not bad between the shifter, steering wheel, pedals, etc.

Anyone with a "nice" price on a Ram Rod shifter boot feel free to get a hold of me.

Thanks,

Tim

I used that shifter for many years and loved it. Never had an issue, as a matter of fact, I still have it and a spare that I bought just in case. I used mine on a Liberty geared Super T10. Have fun....

After some untalented attempts myself at the trans tunnel, I enlisted the help of a friend that owns a shop here in SE Wisconsin Topline Design and Speed. 2 days later, tunnel made, fitted around the Ram Rod, and tied into the driveshaft tunnel. He even fitted the tunnel to utilize the NOS Ram Rod boot and ring. As you can see, it's a little tight by the seat. All was TIG welded, seam sealed, and painted.

Full speed ahead now. After I get back from Wisconsin Dells this weekend, I'll get the clutch in, the M22W, order the driveshaft, and get back to the beatings.

That NOS boot fits right in too! I have to get me one of those some day to go along with my Hurst Ram Rod. Keep the pics going.
