Re: Brents 1969 L78 Original California Camaro

I have more fun cleaning and refurbishing original parts and components than replacing with repo. Especially when people have to do a double take as to whether it is original or restored. I try hard to make sure the details are not perfect, but have them look perfectly in place. (does that make sense?)

The biggest compliment I can get regarding my restorations is if a knowledgeable collector asks themselves is this restored or is it a low mile preserved survivor?

I have seen a few restored cars over the years where when I look at them I go back and start looking more and more to determine whether or not the car was restored, along with the high performance survivors they are the ones I remember.

Its not masking tape its paper left under the sills i dont know if the factory put that on the floor to cover the carpets when it was new. thanks alot for the comments <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: iluv69s</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Awesome car ! Congrats !! love the orig. detail pics...keep them coming!! Surprised how much green on the floor boards and tunnel, etc. I know there are many variations, but is that typical? Is that masking tape under the sill?

How about some acion shots??? </div></div>

Ill have to look under the seals on my 68 L78 and see if there is any type of paper under them.
