Judging by your spare and the build sheet, it looks like the car had the basic 14x7" steel wheels with conventional pop-on hubcap and trim ring. The hubcap is a later version of the '63-'64 era Mercury cap but simpler, stamped without "Mercury" lettering. I assume the wheel is the same as found in '70 Mach 1 Mustangs of that year. The 14x7 "Styled Steel Wheel" option was listed at $36.90. It was a new design with 5 slots versus the 12 slot '68-'69 14"x6" wheel your car seems to be fitted with. Center cap design was the same, snapping to the inside of the recessed bolt circle as opposed to outside the nubs of the conventional steel wheel. These wheels were also offered as a no cost option on 1970 Mach 1 Mustangs for just that year but continued to be offered by Mercury on Cougars in 1971.
